Wireless Network Connection

Supported configuration* for connecting to the FGCU Public Wireless Network:

  • A Laptop or Tablet PC Running Windows XP Service Pack 2
  • An 802.11b or 802.11g Compatible Wireless Card (Note: Most notebooks with integrated Wireless use this standard)

Some examples of compatible wireless cards are:

  • Intel Centrino
  • Apple Airport
  • Dell TrueMobile
  • 802.11b/g 3rd Party Adapter (Linksys, D-Link, Cisco, etc.)

*Other configurations may work but have not been verified by Computing Services and are not supported by Florida Gulf Coast University.
